New location and school buildings for EIRA

Since the school was able to purchase a new place for their school building because they were chased away from the original location (bamboo building on old pictures) by the the alleged land lord , Pastor E. Blojah with his community started to clean up the new plot with some existing building structures, which were highly damaged during the civil war. One of the four buildings already has got a roof and freshly white painted walls - school started immediately!!

after the purchase of the plots, setting up a roof and painting the old brick walls we were able to open school and we can move on and look forward to the completion of the school buildings.

our main aims are: the further restauration of the buildings, the full purchase of the plots, teacher's salaries, more seats and tables and books and etc....

Description of EIRA

The Eamel International Resource Academy (EIRA) is a 'Junior Highschool' situated in a suburban community of Monrovia, Liberia situated in Guesthouse Road, Thinkersvillage, Paynesville.

In 2008 the original EIRA bamboo school building was being planned and executed (in a different spot in Monrovia) by Pastor C. Blojay Ericson driven by the desperate search for teaching space for the children of the 'Embassy of Christ' Church within the ELWA community. The construction work of the bamboo-wood building lasted for 2 months in total starting in April 2008 and finishing in September 2008 but being interrupted by a shortage of money.

Today the school occupies four restored school buildings left abandonned from the civil war. The school buildings are positioned around a small, green courtyard - the schoolyard. Almost all of the four buildings are painted and roofed since 2009.
Proper sanitary buildings (bathrooms etc), school benches, table as well as books, boards, additional supply and support for the payment of teachers are desperately needed.
